Toro Denomination of Origin is a historic wine region with two characteristics that make it unique. On the one hand, the philosophy of non-intervention in the vineyard, since the climatic conditions and the sandy soils mean that there is hardly any need to apply chemical treatments. This has contributed to the habit of intervening as little as possible in the vineyard and letting nature complete its own life cycles. On the other, the existence of old vineyards of excellent quality, some of them pre-phylloxera.

Toro wines have always been characterized by the enormous power and personality of the Tinta de Toro. For this reason at Matsu we wanted to elaborate wines that preserve this traditional force, combining it with the smoothness and elegance to adapt to the tastes of today’s consumer.
