VINEYARDS
The grapes with which El Recio de Domingo is made are grown in a vineyard planted in 1909 and located in Toro. It has settled on poor land with very low yields.

HARVEST
The 2013 harvest was carried out in October. It was a wet and cold cycle with fresh and elegant grapes. The best clusters were selected.

WINEMAKING
Fermentation is carried out for around three months in 15,000-kilogram concrete deposits, where the temperature is controlled so they do not exceed 24ºC. The malolactic fermentation also takes place in these deposits. The wine is subsequently aged for fifteen months in reused French oak barrels. The wine is not filtered or clarified employing aggressive methods, with the aim of preserving its natural characteristics. Spontaneous yeasts originating from the grape skin are used.

TASTING NOTES
A very intense colour wine. On the nose, we encounter black fruit nuances, red fruit too, but also many tertiary aromas start to appear from the barrel, also spices such as clove, chocolate or vanilla. On the palate, it is a dense wine, structured, strong, but it surprises for being silky and round.
